After a drought of announcements, Nintendo has finally done another Nintendo Direct. Here’s everything that you missed regarding Splatoon Raiders in the June 2026 Nintendo Direct (announcement video below if you prefer to watch that instead).
First of all, Nintendo gave us a more detailed look into the world of Splatoon Raiders. Your base of operations will be the ‘Hideout Ship’ in Splatoon Raiders whilst you travel across the Spiralite Islands. In the screenshots, we can see that there will be some sort of levelling mechanic, with each stage being assigned a ‘Salmonoid Level’ which presumably is the level you should be to tackle a stage.
Levelling will allow you to upgrade your character as well in these categories: HP, Weapon Damage, Gadget Damage and Gadget Part Slots.

It looks like the treasure that you’re looking for will be illuminated prominently so you can see it from wherever you are in each stage, as seen by the various lights shining up into the sky. To get to the treasure, you will of course have to fend off Salmonoids. A few new ones have been announced for Raiders already through social media posts, see post 1 and post 2 for more information.

As announced previously, the Exploration Bot allows a member of Deep Cut to join you on your raid and assist with fending off Salmonoids by automatically attacking them (as well as having special abilities that you can unleash onto them). We’ve learnt that they can also provide a boost to allow you to reach high places!

We’ve also received detail on some of the gadgets. Gadgets are used to attack some of the Salmonoids. Whilst the Splatchet was announced before, we have details on two others. These are the Spot Pot and the Splatellite. The Shot Pot continually shoots at a target for a limited amount of time, meanwhile the Splatellites are rotating objects which attacks Salmonoids as they come into contact with it. It has also been confirmed that multiple gadgets can be used together at once!

One last thing to note is that Nintendo quickly covered what boss battles might look like in the game. It looks like these might be time limited and it might require you to collect a certain amount of Power Eggs to proceed (I can’t tell for certain but that’s what it looks like to me).

Whilst that’s it for parts of the game Nintendo covered in the Direct, there are a few other quick announcements. A Splatoon Raiders Direct will be airing on the 30th of June which will aim to go into more detail about the game. And in addition to that, Nintendo will be posting “Deep Cut’s Islands Misadventures” from the 23rd of June to the 23rd of July on Nintendo Today which will cover the lore leading up to Raiders with daily comics.

Also, for those who own Splatoon 3, a brand new Splatfest has been announced for July 10th to July 12th! The theme for this Splatfest will be “Which is the strongest? Speed, power or technique?” We’ll keep you up to date on the fediverse at @splatoon@wetdry.world when details from English sources get sent out.
Outside of the Splatoon Raiders trailer, Nintendo also announced that people will be able to try out the game early at San Diego ComicCon in July. Nintendo did share some additional gameplay in the Treehouse Live event after the Nintendo Direct which you may want to check out (I haven’t watched it yet as of writing).

I hope this got you up to date with what’s happening with Splatoon Raiders. If you liked this post, please share it with friends so that they are up to date too! You can also boost this post on the fediverse.
Also, make sure to comment below on anything you’re excited about regarding Raiders (or whether I happened to miss anything major). Take care!
