Hello world. This is the first actual post from me believe it or not.
This is my first time ever using WordPress and I’ve got to be honest, I don’t have any clue on what I’m doing. I’ve used platforms like Wix and I’m actively using Weebly at the moment, but it’s definitely my first time exploring WordPress.
I can’t say things have gone to a smooth start though with WordPress. Whilst the limited control on page design is great for someone to get their website set up relatively quickly, I was a bit frustrated that you don’t get flexibility with some things. I can’t see any easy way to adjust the width of some elements, which would be pretty handy in a scenario like right now where I’m writing a few paragraphs.
Some parts of WordPress I’ve just found confusing too, like how do your posts pop up to people? You can create a Posts page but god knows if anyone can actually see my posts, I have no idea if it’s configured properly at all. Maybe I’ll know more when I’ve messed about for a bit.
Anyways about this blog, don’t intend to use it extensively but it might be helpful for longer form thoughts for something like Splatoon Unofficial, or perhaps I could even republish my tech tips stuff that I have laying around on GitHub undiscovered? Hopefully I’ll figure it out soon. I’ll make sure to make posts on fedi when I post stuff over here so you can check it out.
