3DS Photography: my 3DS photo library

In August 2024, I started taking photos with my 3DS and I started documenting what it was like shooting with a 3DS online on the Pretendo Network forums. I thought it would be cool sending some of the images I took here (alongside possibly ones I’ve never shared before) for people to look at!

You may want to look at the original thread for some comparisons between the 3DS and my Pixel 6 Pro (I will be focusing purely on 3DS photos in this blogpost sorry). I also have some of my edited pictures over there, which you may want to look at (I want to cover them here at some point too). Video will get posted separately at some point.

Apologies for no alt text here, don’t particularly want to go through 107 images (please understand).

Stroud (2024-08-17)

This was the first time I actually decided to take pictures with my 3DS whilst I was out. I’m really not sure why I started to do this in the first place to be honest. I have photos from both Stratford Park as well as the railway station.

Ceredigion (September 2024)

These images were taken whilst away on a 3 day break, was roughly staying around ~10 minutes from Synod Inn. We ended up going to Llangrannog on the day we arrived with us going to New Quay and then Cardigan on the following days. A word of advice though: there’s not much to do in Cardigan on a Sunday.

Worcester (2024-11-29)

This was just a small day trip over to Worcester to do some Christmas shopping… as you can see the Severn gets pretty flooded at times here (see this image from my Pixel as well).

Cardiff (2025-05-21)

This was again a day trip, this time to see the BBC Cymru Wales building and learning how broadcasts from there work (BBC Cymru Wales in Central Square handles Wales Today broadcasts, BBC Radio Wales/Cymru/Cymru 2 as well as a variety of programs too).

Weston-super-Mare & Sand Bay (2025-07-11)

Again another short day trip… it was quite a sudden decision to go out here though. It was my first time ever visiting Sand Bay which is a beautiful place to walk down (not really anything to do there but at least it isn’t a hellhole like Weston is).

For the second last photo from the Sand Bay photos, I did experiment with the filters a bit. Realistically I do need to mess around with them more though!
